Audition Information
Auditions for the 2011-12 season will be held on the dates below at Highland Presbyterian Church. Please click here to contact Jennifer Weber (502-262-9088) if you are interested in scheduling an audition. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, August 28th from 2-5 pm. Regular rehearsal times are Mondays from 7:30-10 pm.
Monday, August 8...5:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 14...6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 21...4:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Monday, August 22...5:30 - 9:30 p.m.
The audition involves vocalizing, pitch memory (singing back 4 to 5 note passages), preparing rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic examples that will be mailed to you ahead of time, and singing "My Country Tis of Thee" in three keys, and sight-singing one melody that will be handed out at the audition itself. The melodic and harmonic sections will be sung utilizing solfege. You do not need to bring a prepared song.
